A catch-all feature that is activated for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you disable an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the exact same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to receive only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
You’ll be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort if you’ve got a cloud website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet astonishingly user-friendly, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it once again will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all feature can be enabled effortlessly in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small sign handily situated directly next to each one of them. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
